2002 DRESSAGE YOUNG HORSE CRITERIA AND DATES APPROVED

 

The United States Dressage Young Horse Selection criteria are now available at www.equestrian.org.  The qualifying period begins January 1, 2002 and ends May 30, 2002.

The three Finals locations for the 2002 United States Dressage Young Horse Selections for five and six-year-old dressage horses have been named, pending Executive Committee approval.  Dressage at DG Bar Ranch will be the venue for the Western Finals May 9 & 10, 2002, Dressage at Lamplight will be the venue for the Central Finals May 24-26, 2002, and Capitol Classic will be the venue for the Eastern Finals on May 31-June 2, 2002.  The results of these Finals will make up the short list from which U.S. representatives will be chosen for the 2002 FEI World Breeding Championship.

 

The FEI recently announced a new date and location for the 2002 FEI World Breeding Championship.  It is now scheduled for August 1-4, 2002 in Verden, Germany.  It had formerly been scheduled for May 31-June 2, in Nijmegen,
